You Don’t Have to Do It All Alone

Coffee’s brewing… can I tell you something? ☕️

I’m really good at doing things myself.

Like, REALLY good.

And before you applaud that, let me tell you, it’s not always a compliment.

Somewhere between raising four boys, running businesses, remembering who needs a permission slip, and trying to figure out what we’re having for dinner (again), I’ve convinced myself that if something needs to get done, I should probably just do it.

Sound familiar?

I think a lot of women are like this.

We have a vision. We make a plan. We figure it out. And when the plan doesn’t work, we make another plan.

We become so accustomed to being the person who handles everything that we forget there’s another option.

Let someone help.

And I don’t just mean help with the laundry. Although, if someone wants to come fold mine, the door is open.

I mean help with the dream.

When I started Pillow PACKS, I had this idea that I couldn’t shake. I wanted to create something that helped people show up for one another. Something that made giving a little more personal, a little more meaningful.

I believed in it.

Sometimes you need people to believe in your idea before the rest of the world catches on.

And sometimes the bravest thing an entrepreneur can do is let other people help carry the dream.

But believing in something and building it are two very different things.

There have been a lot of late nights. A lot of figuring things out as I go. A lot of moments where I’ve wondered whether anyone else would ever see what I see.

And lately, something pretty special has started happening.

People I don’t even know are saying yes.

Yes, I’d love to share this.

Yes, I’d love to carry your products.

Yes, I believe in what you’re building.

And I’m realizing that maybe the goal was never to do every single thing myself.

Maybe the goal was to build something worth inviting other people into.

There’s a difference.

I think sometimes, especially as mothers, we get so used to being needed that we forget what it feels like to need someone else.

We celebrate being strong. Being capable. Being the one who can handle it.

But there’s nothing weak about letting someone stand beside you.

In fact, I’m starting to think that’s where some of the really good stuff happens.

Because the people who believe in you before you’ve made it? The ones who offer encouragement, make an introduction, share your work, or simply say, “Keep going”?

Those people matter.

And here’s the funny thing.

I started this business because I wanted to help people love people well.

Turns out, I’m learning a little something about being on the receiving end of that love, too.

So if you’re building something right now, whether it’s a business, a family, a new chapter, or just a life that looks a little different from the one you imagined, I hope you’ll remember this.

You don’t have to prove how capable you are by carrying everything yourself.

Let people cheer for you.

Let them open doors.

Let them believe in you.

And when someone offers to help, maybe try saying yes instead of immediately explaining why you’ve already got it handled.

I’m working on that last one myself.

Because maybe building something beautiful was never supposed to be a solo project.

And maybe that’s the whole point.

Until next Tuesday,

Celeste ☕️

Helping people love people well.
